Who wrote SRK's 'Ra.One'?

Kanika Dhillon arrives in Delhi from Amritsar for graduation at St Stephen's college and later headed to London School of Economics for further education. Then, she got a plum job in an MNC! However, she aspired for Bollywood since she was 17, but her parents wanted her to finish conventional education first. As soon as Kanika finished her degree in the UK, she told her parents that she had left for Mumbai. Now, five years later, she is the Creative Content Head at Shah Rukh Khan's production house - Red Chilies Entertainment. Now, she is also one of the scriptwriters for his next magnum opus 'Ra. One'. She says she always wanted to tell stories, to write some and be a filmmaker.

Significantly, when in Mumbai she wanted only to work with Shah Rukh Khan. No sooner, she interacted with SRK than she contributed to 'Billu' and now to 'Ra.One'. She denies that her debut novel "Bombay Duck is a Fish" is an autobiography. It's entirely fictional, even though there are a lot of motivations and inspirations from "real people I met". Incidentally, she has dedicated her debut work to SRK.

MHADA, MHADA form submission for MHADA flats starts Online

For millions searching for their dream home in the city at an affordable rate, the wait is finally over. The Mumbai board of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) will announce the fourth consecutive housing lottery for more than 4,000 houses on Wednesday.

“This will be a record in the history of Mhada and the Mumbai board,” said board chairman Amarjit Singh Manhas.

He added that 4,034 houses will be sold through lottery. “This is the first time the authority is conducting an online lottery for the houses. Those who wish to opt for it have to log on www.lottery.mhada.maharashtra.gov.in and fill the form. They then have to take a printout of it, sign it and submit after affixing a photograph, to their nearest Axis bank,” said Manhas.

MHADA officials have claimed that after the introduction of the online lottery, they expect the time consumed in scrutiny of forms to reduce. “The form will not be uploaded till all the information asked is correctly filled,” said a senior MHADA official. The forms will be accepted at all the 75 branches of Axis bank in Mumbai as well as in the rest of the state.

The last date for submitting the forms is May 16. MHADA has kept three additional days as grace period. The lottery will be held on May 31.

“The software for the online submission has been designed in such a manner that it can receive 5,000 applications per minute. The authority is confident that the system will be able to handle the pressure. Moreover, the website will be on for 24 hours and there is no need to jump on to it once it opens on Wednesday morning,” he said.

My character isn't dheela: Salman Khan

The song Character Dheela from Salman Khan's forthcoming film Ready is already making waves.

However, the chartbuster doesn't flatter our hunk. At the recently held Ready music launch, when asked if he can relate himself with the Character Dheela song, Salman replied, "Ask Asin. She has the first hand experience."

Asin was caught unguarded and couldn't think of anything to say. The lady, who is romantically paired opposite Salman in the film, flaunted a big smile and returned the mike to Salman.

The Khan finally said, "No, I can't relate to the song. My character isn't dheela and I am a very shareef insaan."

Looking at the history and number of Salman's love relationships, one might think that the song is penned on him. But it seems Sallu wants to set the record straight and make it clear that Character Dheela isn't his story.

It can be recalled that during the release of Jaane Tu.... Ya Jaane Na rumours were abuzz that the song Pappu Can't Dance is based on Salman. However, Aamir Khan later stepped in and cleared the controversy.
